Since joining Rock Dental in 2008, Dawn Everitt has been a cornerstone of our team. With over 25 years in dentistry, she combines clinical excellence with a gentle, reassuring approach that makes patients feel truly cared for.

Professional Journey and Achievements

Dawn began her career in 2000 as a Dental Nurse at Cannock Chase Hospital, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care. Inspired to broaden her skills, she trained at the University of Birmingham, graduating in 2007 with a BSc in Dental Hygiene & Therapy. Her exceptional ability was recognised with the prestigious Adult Restorative Award.

She has since dedicated herself to delivering the highest quality of preventive and restorative care, helping patients manage gum disease, maintain their oral health, and achieve confident smiles. At Rock Dental, Dawn plays a key role in supporting patients across hygiene and therapy services, always tailoring her approach to individual needs.

Dawn’s Approach to Patient Care

Dawn is passionate about ensuring patients feel relaxed and supported, especially those who are nervous about dental treatment. She takes time to educate, explain, and empower patients to take charge of their oral health. Her consistent, empathetic care has built strong bonds with long-standing patients, many of whom value the trust and continuity she has provided over the years.

Her commitment extends beyond dentistry. She has volunteered backstage with the Midland Theatre Ballet, Crescent Theatre Birmingham, and Ingram Academy, supporting wardrobe departments. She also holds a chaperone licence and continues to give her time to the performing arts.

In 2018, Dawn completed the London Marathon, raising nearly £10,000 for the British Lung Foundation – a remarkable achievement that reflects her determination and generosity.

Life Outside the Practice

Outside of Rock Dental, Dawn leads an active lifestyle. She enjoys yoga and pilates, running, painting, and crafting. She loves travelling – especially city breaks and sunshine escapes – and cherishes time with her daughter, born in 2012. Together, they share a love of baking, creating special family memories.
