Kate Bailey has been part of the Rock Dental family since 2015 and brings with her almost two decades of experience in dentistry. Known for her professionalism, empathy, and mentoring skills, Kate plays a key role in supporting both patients and colleagues alike.

Professional Journey

Kate began her dental nursing career in 2007, gaining broad experience across several practices and working alongside specialists in sedation, medico-legal cases, implantology, endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery. These experiences not only expanded her clinical expertise but also gave her the confidence to deliver patient care at the highest standards.

Over the years, Kate has held senior roles including Head Nurse, Lead Decontamination Nurse, and Safeguarding Lead. She has contributed to auditing processes, developed decontamination protocols, and championed best practice in compliance and patient safety.

Mentoring & Training

A particular passion of Kate’s is supporting the next generation of dental nurses. As Lead Mentor, she has created an in-house training programme to guide apprentices and trainees, focusing on both clinical skills and academic understanding. She has also undertaken qualifications in tutoring and assessing, and is working towards NEBDN accreditation to deliver structured, accredited training courses in the future.

Her goal is to help develop a confident, knowledgeable, and inspired dental nursing workforce – while continuing her own journey of professional growth.

Life at Rock Dental

Having been at Rock Dental for more than 10 years, Kate has seen the practice grow from a small two-surgery clinic into a thriving multi-specialist centre. She is proud to have contributed to that growth and values the team spirit and supportive culture that make Rock Dental unique.

On a personal note, Kate has received unwavering support from her colleagues while navigating the challenges of parenting a disabled daughter. The flexibility and compassion shown by the Rock Dental team have allowed her to continue her career while meeting her child’s needs – something she describes as a true reflection of a “work family.”

Outside the Practice

Away from dentistry, Kate devotes much of her time to her family. She is also passionate about personal and professional development, always striving to grow her skills and share her knowledge with others.
