At the heart of Rock Dental is our Practice Manager, Natalie Doughty, who has been leading and shaping the practice for over 12 years. With a career in dentistry spanning more than two decades, Natalie has grown with the profession – from her early days as a dental nurse, to treatment coordinator, safeguarding lead, and now the driving force behind Rock Dental’s success as a multi-specialist referral centre.

A Career Built on Care and Leadership

Natalie first qualified as a dental nurse in 2003 and began working alongside Dr Anoup Nandra in 2006. In 2012 she joined Rock Dental as Practice Manager, guiding the team through a period of rapid growth. Under her leadership, the practice has expanded from a small two-surgery clinic to a purpose-built, state-of-the-art four-surgery centre with a team of over 30 professionals and more than 70 referring practices.

Her role covers every aspect of the practice – from HR, recruitment, training, and compliance, to managing the diaries of 16 clinicians and ensuring that every patient’s journey runs smoothly. She is known for her ability to combine organisation and efficiency with genuine care for patients and colleagues alike.

For Natalie, excellent dentistry is not only about treatment – it is about the full patient experience. She ensures that nervous patients feel supported, that vulnerable patients receive extra care, and that every individual who walks through our doors feels valued and respected. Whether it’s arranging quiet appointments, coordinating hospital visits, or personally following up after treatment, Natalie goes above and beyond to make patients feel at ease.

Supporting Our Team

Having worked her way up through the profession, Natalie is passionate about developing the next generation of dental professionals. She has created structured induction and training systems, introduced CPD tracking, and nurtured new roles such as Head Nurse, Referral Coordinator, and Treatment Coordinator. Her leadership style is all about empowerment – giving colleagues the confidence, skills, and opportunities to thrive.

Community Engagement

Natalie is also at the heart of Rock Dental’s charitable and community initiatives. She organises school visits, fundraising activities, and Christmas gift collections, as well as coordinating international donations of oral health supplies to children in need. For her, dentistry is about making a difference both inside and outside the practice.

Outside of Dentistry

Away from Rock Dental, Natalie is a proud wife, mum, and soon-to-be grandparent. She loves running, countryside walks with her dog Poppy, and spending time with her family. She also enjoys home projects, cooking, and entertaining – always bringing people together.
