Dental Nurse Apprentice

Grace Leo is a Trainee Dental Nurse at Rock Dental, currently working towards her qualification at Walsall College. Since joining the practice, she has impressed both colleagues and patients with her positivity, dedication, and eagerness to learn.

Professional Journey

Grace began her career in hairdressing before deciding to pursue her passion for dentistry. Starting her apprenticeship at Rock Dental, she quickly adapted to the demands of working in a busy multi-specialist practice. She recalls her first time working independently with a dentist as a big step – one that built her confidence and confirmed her ambition to qualify as a dental nurse.

Her goal is to complete her qualification and continue developing her skills, gaining experience across a wide range of treatments and patient care.

Life at Rock Dental

Grace values the opportunity to learn from so many different clinicians across the practice. She describes Rock Dental as special because of its commitment to patient comfort and care, and she is proud to contribute to creating a welcoming, calming environment.

Her fondest memories so far include taking part in team charity events, such as the Race for Life and a 5K Mud Run, which reflect the strong friendships and supportive culture within the team.

Beyond Dentistry

Outside of Rock Dental, Grace enjoys baking, hairdressing, and spending time with her partner, family, and friends. She also supports the WWF Foundation monthly, reflecting her care for the wider world as well as her patients.

She feels grateful that her time at Rock Dental has already given her not just valuable professional experience, but also lasting friendships she knows will continue long into the future.
