Since qualifying from the University of Birmingham in 2007, Dr Kam Panesar has built a career dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. With advanced training in restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, facial aesthetics, and intravenous sedation, Kam combines technical expertise with a caring approach that makes even the most anxious patients feel at ease.

Clinical Expertise

Kam holds a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Manchester (2011) and a Master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Leeds (2016). She provides a wide range of treatments, from Invisalign and cosmetic procedures to complex restorative and endodontic cases.

One of her most valued skills is intravenous sedation, which allows nervous patients – including those who may have avoided the dentist for years – to complete treatment comfortably and regain their confidence. Helping patients stabilise their dental health while improving their smile aesthetics remains one of the most rewarding aspects of her work.

Professional Journey

Kam was shortlisted for Best Young Dentist – Midlands (2013) and worked as a Foundation Dentist Trainer between 2013–2017, supporting and mentoring newly qualified dentists. She has also contributed to health awareness campaigns across the Midlands, providing free dental screenings within local communities.

She has even supported the Birmingham Coroner’s Office, identifying individuals through dental records in challenging cases – work which highlighted the vital role of dentistry in society and left a lasting impression on her.

Life at Rock Dental

At Rock Dental, Kam thrives in the collaborative environment of a multi-specialist team. Working alongside periodontists, endodontists, oral surgeons and restorative colleagues, she enjoys the opportunity to plan and complete complex, multi-disciplinary cases without the need for external referral. This team-based approach, supported by our treatment coordinators, ensures patients receive a seamless and highly personalised journey.

Beyond Dentistry

Outside the practice, Kam is passionate about running and has completed 18 half-marathons and two full marathons, raising thousands of pounds for charities including Cancer Research and Dementia UK. She ran the London Marathon in 2023 and the Great North Run in 2024, raising a remarkable £14,000 in the process.

When not running, she enjoys fitness, live music, travelling, spending time with family and friends, and is currently learning to play the acoustic guitar. She also follows football, cricket, athletics, and tennis closely.
